Propeller-driven Cessnas and numerous other GA aircraft are supported through a worldwide network of over 350 service stations that operate with high standards of customer service. As the local expert in servicing Cessnas, each center meets a consistent standard of service requirements, including facilities, personnel, training, basic and special tools, parts and technical information. Mid Island Air Service is a full service FBO which has been providing expert aircraft maintenance services since 1946. Our shop is staffed with FAA certified A and P mechanics with a total of over 85 years of GA experience with safety and quality as our foremost priority. As a Cessna Service Center, we now offer even greater services, including a complete line of aircraft parts. Our retail shops are available for minor maintenance, oil changes, service bulletin compliance as well as annual inspections. The Mid Island family's main concern is to insure the safety and confidence of our students and pilots. We provide flight training from the Private Pilot through the Airline Transport Pilot. We offer ground school courses to complement our flight instruction. Once a year, our renters fly with our CFI?s for their Annual Flight Review where they can practice IFR approaches, gain Class B experience, plan a night cross country or work on any flight area of their choice. All renters fly under their own Personal Limitations Checklist which they can amend as their flight experience level increases. Our NATA Safety 1st Linemen offer top notch aircraft detailing and fueling services. Mid Island's aircraft maintenance shop maintains our school fleet to FAA standards as well as providing retail services which range from basic oil changes to engine installations. We provide 100 hr, annual and aircraft pre-buy inspections as well as stock and sell a huge variety of Cessna and after market aircraft parts. On the second Saturday of each month, our students and renters meet at ISP to participate in our free seminars where varied guest speakers discuss an array of interesting aviation topics.
