I had my 2006 Toyota 4Runner performed due to noise while driving. The tech and I found out it was the aftermarket bug guard. After the bug guard were removed, the technician looses one of the screw inside the chrome grille and also scratch the front surface of the hood where the rubber grille are attached. When I got home I have noticed the grille were kinda loose so when I open the hood I decided to tighten it up and discovered the screw was missing. I called the service advisor as soon as I got home and told me he will call back. He called me back the next day and told me the screw wa missing previously. I argue him that it wasn't missing. The next day I called the parts department and ask for the screw parts number. After I got the parts number, I called Kevin (service advisor) and reminded him of the missing screw. Kevin told me that the screw canot be purchased individually but I need to purchase the whole grille. It is ironic because I told him I have the parts number for the screw. Kevin said ask me what is the part number? I told him you ask your part department. This is the guy who is a Toyota Dealer service advisor and don't know what the heck he was talking about. I wondering for those customers who took their vehicle for repair if they actually got their car correctly assessed. I make sure to disseminate my horror story with this type of Toyota Dealer of Hopkinsville to Fort Campbell Soldiers.
