Gardner Music Instruction Instrumental 90 Intervale Rd. Not tied down to any one genre, Troy Price is the 'go to' guitar instructor for beginners and pros alike in Central and Western Massachusetts. With the ability to adjust to each student's individuality and their need for the same material to be conveyed in so many different ways, he has developed methods to explain just about every essential musical concept effectively. Through thousands of hours of teaching both privately and in group classes/clinics over the past 15+ years, his methods are finely tuned and effective. Troy maintains a busy teaching and performance schedule, playing around 50 dates a year and holding 60-70+ private students a week. He teaches at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham and at his home studio in Gardner. Holding a degree in Commercial Music Performance from Michigan State University, Troy's teaching is based on an in-depth study of advanced techniques and concepts while making sure his students gain a core-knowledge of music theory along with the 'chops' they need for whatever style they're focusing on. He is a specialist in preparing students for college music programs as well as taking established players to the 'next level' in all aspects of their playing. He continues in his own study as well (currently working towards a Master Guitar Certificate at Berklee College of Music) so he can keep growing as a musician and teacher.
