My Review on Seafarers International Union from a workers viewpoint is that the union is being allowed to be controlled from the bottom up - by Philippine gangs not from the top down. This bottom to top is what allows gangs to have the control.
The nature of any organization is for the top to control the workers - not the reverse.
Simply put - the head of the union - must come out of the office, as Mike Sacco did, to inspect the workers and control the gangs with the authority to fire them. posted on Wednesday, August 14, 2013
